Sorry for the tardiness in getting up these trip posts -- internet has been less than stellar and working on an iPad is definitely not ideal (note to future self!) and my WA and Canada photos are currently imprisoned on Google Drive (China doesn't like Google). I know, I know #firstworldproblems. As I workout the #firstworldproblems, here's a taste of what is going on and where we are. Photos of the Washington and Canada leg are (for the time being) brought to you by Courtney's instagram and point-and-shoot...
After a pretty painful flight delay (3 hours at the airport and 45 minutes on the tarmac) and six hours on the plane, the Conklins made it to Seattle later-than-anticipated on Thursday evening. The delay, however, resulted in some pretty stellar photos as we passed Mt. Ranier around sunset and then flew over many lakes and green trees as we landed.
After getting some sleep and pretending to adjust to left coast time, the family was up and out to explore downtown (and very touristy) Seattle. We made it to the space needle then took the tram (retro-futuristic) to Pike's Place Market where we had a delicious lunch. We headed back to Issaquah where we were all staying for my cousin, Jim's wedding, in order to get ready for the delicious rehearsal dinner.
On Saturday, we had a lazy morning and then headed over to Snoqualmie falls and the nearby town for some cloudy sight-seeing before the WEDDING!

So glad you had a good visit in Seattle! Snoqualmie Falls is one of our must-stops every trip! Adam's sister got married there and it is gorgeous. The fish ladder is another fun one that many people don't know about. Can't wait to see the next posts! Have fun!
