On Monday, a group of us headed over to one of the Nine Days of Christmas events put on by the Friends of Jordan Festivals--a holiday souq at the Intercontinental Hotel. The souq itself seemed to be in its waning days and definitely did not compare to the Holiday Souq Fann, but the real treat of the evening was getting our pictures taken with Santa.

Logistics/Recommendations:
If interested in the souq, I'd definitely recommend getting there on the first day. By the time we'd arrived, it had already been going on for four days, plus we went in the evening to see Santa so a lot of vendors were packing up. The souq ran from December 6th to 14th, 2012 and was the smallest and least impressive of the holiday souqs I have been to recently, although many of the vendors were charity organizations based in Jordan who were selling crafts. Santa came every night from 6 to 7PM and it was a nice touch to the otherwise low key event.
