On the twelfth and final day of Kristen’s trip, we returned to Amman from the second installment of our travel adventure (to be posted in the spring) and promptly treated ourselves to a session at the Turkish Bath off Rainbow Street. This was the perfect end to our trip during which I somehow managed to get peed on by a dog, to get pooped on by a bird, to sit in a child's leftover popsicle juice, and to stick my elbow in a piece of discarded gum. The latter was particularly hilarious (especially to Kristen) but came out effortlessly with olive soap.

A HUGE thanks to Kristen for coming to visit and for being such an awesome travel buddy. Glad you got to see so much of the region in such a short time and made sure that I saw some new places too!
Logistics/Recommendations:
If you've never been to a hammam before, Al-Pasha Turkish Bath in Amman is the perfect place for first-timers. The primary clients are definitely foreigners and tourists, although there are also (wealthy) Jordanians who come here. The hammam is located off of "Rainbow Street" and is the fifth street to the right once you leave first circle. It's nearly all the way down the street and to the right. Cost is 25JD a session and it's recommended that girls wear a bikini and I'd suggest a change of clothes for afterwards. They have towels, shower shoes, and a changing area. Just call the hammam the morning of to schedule your bath time: 079550441.
